    Pathology Review including Stool tests

Are you looking for a second opinion about test results you've received or simply want insight from a practitioner skilled at reviewing pathology?

I offer these services to both clients and non-clients so that everyone can gain further insight as to where their health complaints are stemming from.

Many tests have hidden insights that are not apparent to all practitioners who may only be looking for either very low or very high results, rather than for what is optimal or not.

These services when offered to non-clients don't include any monitoring after recommendations are made - you are welcome to work with me as a client if you need further support and guidance (I offer a discount).

    Pathology review options

I currently review the following pathology tests:

    • Stool testing - Microba, Genova GI Effects and Microbiomix, Invivo, Biomesight, Thorne, MyBiome (Synlab), NirvanaBiome
    • Standard pathology testing* - blood chemistry, full blood count, liver function, cholesterol, thyroid, iron studies

*Standard pathology (blood tests) are $AUD180 per single set of standard blood tests. If you would like me to order tests for you, there is an admin fee of $20.

    Stool test interpretation options

I have two options for you to choose from:

    1. Written Interpretation (basic option) - $180
    2. 45 minute Zoom call - $220
      • If you'd like a written report included with the Zoom call, I can offer that for option 2 for an extra $50

If you haven't had a test done and would like me to order one for you, there is an admin fee of $20.

If you would like to work with me as a client after a pathology review, the initial consultation will be discounted by $60.

If you've been thinking about getting a stool test, you can watch this video below of me interpreting my own Microba test or you can read my expert advice about how to choose a stool test. Otherwise, keep reading below to find out more about each interpretation option.

About the written interpretation (basic option)

    • A written report is provided based on your results. This is provided along with the PDF report from Co-Biome and the CSV files of raw data.
    • Best for those who are simply interested in their gut microbiome and who don't have any significant health concerns.

    About the 45-minute video call

    • 45-minute video call reviewing your results.
    • The interactive format gives you the opportunity to ask questions in real time.
    • This call is a shorter call, so it doesn't include detailed or customised recommendations.
    • Suitable for those with chronic health concerns who have an existing practitioner to work with who can customise the recommendations for you.
    • A recording of the session can be provided on request.
    • This is provided along with the PDF report from Microba and the CSV files of raw data.
    • No written report provided unless you choose that option.
    • A basic pre-call form is completed to give me some context of your health concerns.
    • Any additional time you require to ask more questions is available at a $2/per minute rate (can be done over email or by extending the video call).

    Important

    • Costs listed are in Australian currency and do not include the cost of the stool test itself or other pathology. They cover administration time, time to review your results and then time to either write a report or conduct a video or phone call. Stool tests are only ordered once you have paid the Allison Jones' fee - you pay the lab separately for the test itself. No refunds are available on the interpretation fee or the test fee.
    • Detailed meal plans are not provided but are available.
    • For reasons of legal liability, all written reports and/or video calls are provided on the basis that you will take the recommendations to your existing healthcare practitioner for further guidance or implementation. If you'd like my guidance, you are welcome to work with me as a client. If you'd like to become a client of mine after you have had your test interpretation, I offer a discount on the initial consultation fee.
    • I can interpret testing for anyone who has already had the testing done or if you need me to order the testing for you.
    • If you would like to work with me as a client after a pathology review, the initial consultation will be discounted by $60.
    • Results are not released without payment of the above fees.
    • Testing and interpretation is not intended to diagnose medical conditions
    • If you require a Microba test and you haven't done this test previously, I always recommend either the Microbiome Explorer Extended ($425) or the Microbiome Explorer Comprehensive ($485). The GI Plus is particularly helpful if there is a suspicion of a pathogenic infection.

Who can benefit from a stool test?

Considering the link between gut health and so many varied diseases and symptoms, most people will benefit from undertaking a stool test. Even people in relatively good health can benefit from getting a sneak peek in to the health of their gut microbiome.

The conditions that most often benefit from stool analysis include:

    • Chronic fatigue syndrome or M.E.
    • Skin conditions - eczema, psoriasis, acne
    • Fibromyalgia
    • Anxiety
    • Depression
    • IBS
    • Dysbiosis
    • IBD including Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis
    • Other autoimmune conditions including Psoriasis, Psoriatic arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis
    • Endometriosis
